Hisashiburi minna!!!

Howdy guys how are all of you beautiful people. First of all I hope all of you are in the best and pinkest of health. Spread the love around people. Okay me being hyper is not something unusual because for those who reads this crappy blog of mine will know that I am eccentric with a tinge bit of madness( okay so its not tinge sheeesh :P)

Anyway moving along I wish to tell you guys that I just turn 31! Fancy that huh me duh. Okay so what shall I indulge myself for today. Oh yeah I wish to share a light novel by Hiro Arikawa title Toshokan Sensou which to those who is familiar with this light novel it is called Library Wars. This is a fantastic novel which was later adapted into a manga by the same title and they also made a 12 episode anime and a super super brilliant ending for a film also in an anime adaptation titled Library War: The Wings of Revolution (図書館戦争 革命のつばさ Toshokan Sensō Kakumei no Tsubasa). Lastly certainly not the least they also made a live adaptation of it and and the main character was played by Ikura Nana and also Junichi Okada. Yeah I am gushing again.

So here I will provide a a little bit information regarding this wonderful light novel. Lets start with the novel. For those who wish to read this light novel you can go here a wonderful translator called melithiel did translations of Hiro Arikawa sensei's novels http://toshosen-tsl.livejournal.com/. She even compiled it into pdf files so you guys can visit her journal. She is amazing I tell you. Oh and by the way there are actually 4 part to the light novels. She is in the midst of finishing the last novel. The novels are comprising of

  • Toshokan Sensou
  • Toshokan Nairan
  • Toshokan Kiki
  • Toshokan Kakumei
Okay so that was the light novels translations, now the 12 anime episodes.

so you can watch this anime here library wars 12 anime episode with the movie as well

as for the live adaptation this are the actors Junichi Okada and Ikura Nana

the posters for the live adaptation

Finally the plot of the story, how do I indulge any of you to read this, first of the basic understanding of this light novel is as per quote from Wikipedia:
The background of the plot is based on the Statement on Intellectual Freedom in Libraries that went into effect in Japan in 1954 (amended in 1979), and the terms are a little different from the Freedom of the Library Law that appears in Toshokan Sensō.
The simplified declaration:[3]
It is the most important responsibility of libraries to offer collected materials and library facilities to the people who have the Right to Know as one of their fundamental human rights. In order to fulfill their mission, libraries shall recognize the following matters as their proper duties, and shall put them into practice.
  1. Libraries have freedom in collecting their materials.
  2. Libraries secure the freedom of offering their materials.
  3. Libraries guarantee the privacy of users.
  4. Libraries oppose any type of censorship categorically.
When the freedom of libraries is imperiled, we librarians will work together and devote ourselves to secure the freedom.
In Toshokan Sensō, the fourth chapter of the Freedom of Library Law states:[4]
  1. Libraries have freedom in collecting their materials.
  2. Libraries secure the freedom of offering their materials.
  3. Libraries guarantee the privacy of users.
  4. Libraries oppose any type of improper censorship categorically.
  5. When the freedom of libraries is imperiled, we librarians will work together and devote ourselves to secure the freedom.
The details will be amended anytime according to the Media Betterment Act and its enforcement.

The main protagonist named Kasahara Iku receive her calling as a Library Task Force when she was a high school student. She was about to buy her favorite story book which was a fairy tale but there was a sudden inspection by the Media Betterment Act and her book was confiscated in the middle of the scuffle she was saved by an unknown Library Force officer who was passing by. Needless to say that officer made a huge impact towards Kasahara Iku and made her want to join in protecting the books for others. Its important to understand that in this story the plot is made in such a way that to obtain information is not something that easy. Fast forward she finished high school and enrolled herself in the Library Force and became the only female in the country to join the Library Task force front line that deals with combat training. While joining the Task Force she also wish to search for the so called 'prince charming' that saved her. I will not write anymore. Well I think if you like strong like heroine like me I think this story is good for you.

Tokyo Crazy Paradise a.k.a Kure Para

It's been a while since I last write in here. I was just lazy no other reason. Beside the fact that I am living my daily life towards a manga otaku( no I am not ashamed to admit it) I find myself searching for new manga everyday and looking out for new anime everyday just to satisfy my insatiable quench for anime and manga. Yup I am hopeless. Did I told you that I am turning 3.1 series this year and yes I am not in a relationship and yes seriously seriously sick to the core for manga and anime? You didn't know? Well now you do. By the way for those who just recently reading my so called blog thank you for stopping by. I seriously didn't know anyone will actually read it.

Okay moving on. What I decided to write here should have been written here for a long time ago. I didn't know why I didn't write it...hmm oh well its just as the title in my post. I want to write about one of Yoshiki Nakamura Sensei's manga Tokyo Crazy Paradise. Let me be one of the (I'm sure many fans out there) Yoshiki's sensei fans to say that it is such a shame that this manga did not see its day as an anime because it would have surely rock. For those of you who is familiar with the manga/anime/taiwanese version drama Skip Beat, it is actually done by the same mangaka, Yoshiki Nakamura sensei.

I couldn't remember the first time I've read Kure Para(TCP) but I can tell you I have read it more than a dozen times and I've never seriously gone bored and and I got so high reading it that I can finish it all 112 chapter in one go(yes I am sick I know). If you are talking about genres of this manga its mostly romantic/action/comedy. It doesn't bore me so I don't know about you guys.

I don't want to spoil your mood by telling you about it so you can either check it out atTokyo Crazy Paradise or you can even read a summary of it at wikipedia.

Some people rather enjoy a shoujo manga with the girl being docile and cute and while some like the heroine to be the kind of girl who kicks ass while talking and taking action. If you are into the later than Kure Para is the manga for you. The characters just jump to life well for me at least. Kozuki Tsubasa is one of 4 siblings and the only girl. With both parents as cop and just died because of a rivalry in some Yakuza dispute she and her siblings are force out of home to live on the streets. Her life took a turn when she confronts the son of a yakuza who has recently lost his father in the dispute that Kozuki parents was solving. Since Ryuji the took over the Kuryugumi as kanto's yakuza head after his father had died he hold the post as sandaime( the third generation leader) and to help him avenge his father's murderer he took in Kozuki Tsubasa as his bodyguard becase he knows she is very good in martial arts. And I will not say it anymore. I could just keep on gushing here like a gurgling hot spring just on and on about this manga and you guys will definitely throw at me some stinky eggs. Anyway if you got time look for it and read it. I always had fun reading this manga as I was when the first time I lay my eyes on it. So have fun guys
